Interior parquet coatings:

In house Parquet floor application, today are finished, world wide, with wáter based 1-K or 2-K PUD systems.

It is by far the biggest application área for wáter based Wood coatings interior application. There are Wood coating producers, specialyzed exclusively in wáter based parquet lacquers.

Depending on the end use, sleeping room, hotel etc., 2-K PUD systems or 1-K PAC/PUD systems are used.

Children furniture:

Another big application field for interior used water based wood coatings, is the finishing of Children furniture.

The coatings should fulfill the European norm for children furnitures, EN 71

Windows:

Since some years, all interior and exterior windows are applied by automatic spray with wáter based coatings.

 

The drying is done under the roof.

Printing lines:

The first industrial application of wáter based Wood coating in the 70th, was the coloured primer for printing lines.

The substrate was hard bord, today also MDF board, for buttom of drawer and back panels for furnitures.

Tannin Stain Blocking Performance:

Most wood species contain water soluble tannic acid, which can bleed through the primer and into the

topcoat, leaving a brownish undertone, referred to as tannin stain.
